Weekend Recap

This was a busy weekend! Chris and the boys cut wood around the farm and the girls went to Menomonie for Anna's shower. Mason was a big hit with all the ladies, so we were glad to see him in such a good mood after last week's events. The shower was a good time with great food, great company, and lots of cute little Dehmer kids running around.

Of course there were games...Anna was asked 20 questions about Matt and had to chew a piece of gum for every one she got wrong. (She ate 13 pieces). This wasn't as bad as me, though...when I played the game at my bridal shower I ate 18 pieces. :)

I headed home to catch up with some coworkers for my boss's 30th birthday. It was a great time, but it's probably good that my camera was not with me...apparently I did a rendition of Beyonce's "If you like it then you should have put a ring on it" video. LOL

Back to reality...

I got a call this morning that Mason was running a temp last night and this morning. It's right around 101 so I am praying that we can control this one and avoid any seizures. We are going with our fever plan of Ibuprofen every 6 hours until he is fever-free for 24 straight hours. He also has a runny nose so hopefully it is just a little cold. Poor bugger...just when the good gets going the going gets tough.

Praying for an uneventful week and a healthy home...

  1. Jenny, thank you SO MUCH for everything this weekend. Everyone was so generous and it was good to hang out with you girls and to see Mason. I missed him so much and I'm glad my family got to meet him too, they've all been praying for his since I came into the picture last year. Matt really misses him too and we can't wait to see you again in a couple weeks!! Maybe I'll stop by the farm this wknd too.

  2. I think he's just a gem. Thank you so much for sharing him with me. Yikes, I'm looking...full in those pictures! Mason is a MUCH more accomplished photo subject than I am! We really did have such a nice time. Thank you for all of your efforts to make such a successful party for our Anna!
