For those of you that have been reading about Mason lately, you'll notice a pattern...he has been getting sick every 3 weeks. For this reason, we did not make any plans for New Years Eve, as we wanted to be home in case Mason was going to get sick again. Well he did fine on New Year's Eve and seemed to be in a pretty good mood.
Last night, we woke up to Mason screaming. He had unloaded all of his stomach contents all over his crib at about 1:30 in the morning. We got him cleaned up and I brought him to our bed to cuddle when he did it again, all over me.
All day today we have been very careful what we have been feeding him. We've been feeding him nice and slow, for fear that his stomach can't handle it. He's had a few "burps" that have given him a sour face, but no puking. He's been extremely gassy and is getting pretty irritable. He had diarrhea once tonight and we're on the lookout for more...
We aren't sure what caused this sudden onset of sickness. He's been doing great on his antibiotic and it hasn't been causing the issues like before. He received his last dose of the antibiotic today so we'll know for sure if he continues to get better over the next couple days.
Hopefully it was just a one-day stomach bug. Mason has a follow-up appointment with Dr. Shepherd on Wednesday and we'll take another look at those ears...
