Fine! Here's Your Update! :)

I get bugged weekly, if not daily, to update our blog but I don't like to update unless I have some news-worthy stuff to share. It does make me feel good, though, that our lives seem interesting to people other than us. :)

Our September started out with an incredibly relaxing weekend up at the lake. Chris went goose hunting while Mason and I spent the weekend indoors, cuddling and watching Mickey Mouse. It was a pretty chilly Labor Day weekend, but it was sooo relaxing. Our summer flew by, so it was a nice way to wind down and get into fall-mode.

We also went to Pumpkin Palooza this month. For those of you that were at our wedding, do you remember the monster pumpkins that drove up next to the reception hall that night? Those monsters belong to my aunt and uncle, Denise and Randy. They have been growing monster pumpkins for years and have a party to celebrate fall and pumpkins. I didn't take many pictures at the event, as I was occupied with my new HTC Hero phone, but here are a few:

Then, this past week, we took a trip to Marshfield to pick up an early Christmas present for Mason. We thought it would be another month before this came in, but I got a shocking phone call last week that it was ready to be picked up!

Chris and I would like to take this moment to thank all Portage County residents that pay taxes in the County of Portage to help fund the insurance that Chris receives. We would also like to thank all the healthy Portage County workers that keep the premium costs low despite the incredible cost our family is probably adding to the "bill".
This incredibly unique piece of equipment was ordered over 8 months ago. We fought a bit with insurance, but finally got it through. This baby costs $6300 retail. Our cost: a $200 co-pay.

I got a call today to schedule Mason's first IEP visit with the Mosinee Elementary School psychologist. It's scheduled for October 11th. I put this date in writing on the blog because I think it's going to be the day that Mommy Mrdutt officially loses it. Thinking about Mason going to school these past few months have had this Momma sick to her stomach...and the start of the process frightens me even more. I know Mason will be in good hands...I know many teachers in the Mosinee school system...but no matter how much people tell me...I'm still freaking out. It's probably best to let me freak out. I guarantee over the next few months that there will be tears, anxiety, panic attacks and unrealistic rants. I'm just preparing you all.

Other than those tidbits of news, things have been pretty normal. You know, the Mrdutt normal. Chris is getting ready for opening duck hunting and I'm occupying my time with the BBA (Bad Bowlers Anonymous - a super cool group of folks that get together to go bowling once a week) and keeping this house in order.

So, I leave you with an updated pic or two of the Mace-meister:
Peek a boo!

Give me that camera!

Check back in a week or two for more updates...and stop buggin' me already! :)
