Green Bay Day Trip

We traveled to Green Bay this weekend, finally getting Mason to a zoo. We've been talking about taking him to the zoo since April, but weren't up for the drive to Milwaukee. Plus, we didn't want to deal with the crowds. The Green Bay N.E.W. Zoo was perfect. Mason was free and Chris and I were only $5 each to get in. The size of the zoo was great for Mason. The weather was very drizzly and the mosquitoes were out in full force so we had the entire visit done in about an hour. Still, an hour well spent.

Mason, where's the peacock?

Mr. Raccoon is hiding.

Monkeys were Mason's favorite!

While at the zoo, some college friends "face-booked" us so we took a quick 2 mile drive to their place. We met Little Ms. Ella for the first time and what a darn cutie she is! We then drove to Jay and Christine's place to go to lunch and meet Little Ms. Sophia! What a peanut! After seeing both little girls, I told Chris that I want a little girl. After seeing how great Mason was with both of them, I decided it definitely has to be a girl next. :)

To finish up our day in GB, we went to Lambeau to watch some of the Packer's training camp. It was Chris's first visit there, but I have been lucky enough to attend two games there already. We didn't get to see the actual stadium, other than the Atrium and Pro Shop, but saw most of the players playing on the practice field. Very cool experience. There was a 1/4 mile long line of kids on their bikes, waiting to bike along the players on the way back to the stadium. It got me pumped up for PACKER SEASON!

A great day trip for us!
